When the World Series of Poker was born Binion's Horseshoe Casino was its location. Then, when it exploded in the last 10-15 years, Harrah's Entertainment took over as owner, using its circuit of casinos to host the event. Recently they decided the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino would host poker's Super Bowl, and now rumors already swirl that Caesar's Palace will be hosting the event next year.
Forums and bloguspheres have lit up over the intrigue of who will host the next WSOP, and Caesar's Palace seems to be the venue that constantly comes up in the conversation. With Harrah's officially putting the Rio up for auction, it's obvious Harrah's needs to find a new venue and the Palace makes the most sense.
The Caesars poker room is the premier Harrahs poker room on the Strip, and the Caesars convention center should be big enough for the Series.
Even if Harrah's only has a parking lot to use as land we don't expect any the WSOP to be postponed. It will happen, just a matter of where.
