Big problems for Unicaja Malaga ahead of a key game against Crvena Zvezda.

Unicaja Malaga will be forced to face Crvena Zvezda for Round 24 of the EuroLeague regular season minus guard Nemanja Nedovic while center Giorgi Shermadini is doubtful ahead of the game.

Nedovic, the team’s top contributor with 15.7 points, 4.6 assists per game, has been down with the flu for the past three days and will be unable to join the team in Belgrade for the crucial game vs. Red Star. Shermadini is still in a pain after suffering a hit on his foot and hurting his fifth metatarsal bone.

“Nedovic has the flu. He hasn’t trained for three days and can’t play tomorrow,” Malaga head coach Joan Plaza said per La Opinion De Malaga. “As for Shermadini, he’s having an MRI. We don’t know if he can play. He’s in pain.”

With seven matches remaining for the completion of the regular season, Malaga is 10th in the EuroLeague Standings with a 10 – 14 record and two wins below the playoff zone. Crvena Zvezda stands at the 12th spot with 9-14.
