Personally I think it's a great news. The Euroleague games will be faster and also all the foreigns players from the USA will have much more easier adaptation. I like how Euroleague growing as a league, need to keep that way on.
Spanoulis out, Roberts doubtful for Oly vs Baskonia
Olympiacos will debut in the 2017-2018 EuroLeague without captain Vassilis Spanoulis while Brian Robert’s participation is questionable.
Thursday’s (12/10) game between Olympiacos and Baskonia for Round 1 of the EuroLeague regular season won’t feature Vassilis Spanoulis.
Spanoulis has yet to recover from a left knee disturbance that also kept him out of the Greek League derby vs Panathinaikos. Thus he won’t travel to Heraklion, Crete, where the match will take place since Olympiacos had been sanctioned by EuroLeague to play one home game behind closed doors.
Brian Roberts, who also missed the clash with Panathinaikos, covered a section of today’s practice program but his status ahead of Baskonia remains questionable.
Baskonia doesn’t face any problems except the known absences of Jordan McRae and Patricio Garrino.
Mine is simple Zalgiris is good team and have a lot new players, but at the start of the season it won't be easy to take a win even playing at home, still i think they going to take a win. Zvezda have many good tall players, so there will be a lot fight in perimeter.
Žalgiris to win or Zvezda +6?
For me probably Zvezda individual under 71.5 Pinnacle. Too much athletism in home side. Zvezda this year have a lot of young players and this first Euroleague season game in away game with ~13-15k fans against them. It should be very hard for them especially in the 1st half.
I already wrote Zalgiris -7.5 much stronger on the paper. Results in their national league wasn't that good as expected but here is Euroleague and the new players motivation is 100%.
