Anadolu Efes vs Unics Kazan

Efes has quality team and i thkink today win will stay at home. In the last euroleague leg they lost against quality team in Milano. Win today is necessery and they will be highly motivated. On the other side Uniks hardly win against zvezda in the last leg. Their game depends of Keith Langhford play. I thkink his form will start to drop a little and against good efes defence he will have big problems. If Langford doesnt lead team good there will be soon big point spread

Unics Kazan vs Maccabi Tel Aviv

Basketball. Euroleague. Unics Kazan against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Well, home team now has 2 - 5 result, while away team now has 3 - 4 result.

So, home team from last 5 games has 2 wins and 3 loses. Team is one of the weaker this season. Even against Crvena Zvezda at home won only after close and equal battel by 3 points.

While Maccabi looks great enough. Even to Panathinaikos lost only after overtime. Also in last game beaten Fenerbahce.

So, here i think that I must pick away team when Maccabi is outsider of this match according to bookmakers.

Olympiacos are going to try to impose themselves on Crvena Zvezda through their good defense and the Under seems extremely likely.

Unics Kazan – Galatasaray

Unics Kazan, who are lagging behind in the standings, are hosting Galatasaray who are on the rise but keep appearing with a different roster in almost every game. The Russian team doesn’t have a big rotation and has been having trouble in recent games, with only one win in the last six games. Galatasaray are more competitive in recent games and they will probably manage to defend the handicap of 7,5 points (@Stoiximan 1,73).

Anadolu Efes – Zalgiris Kaunas

Efes are strong at home, with four wins in a row, and Zalgiris will try to appear competitive when so far they’ve only defeated teams that are on the lower side of the table. The Turks have an advantage for the win and they will probably win by a margin bigger than the 5,5 points (@Sportingbet 1,75) of the handicap. Zalgiris have a small rotation that doesn’t hold out against teams that reach a high score line, like Efes is wont to do.

Olympiacos – Crvena Zvezda

A win against Crvena Zvezda in the Peace & Friendship Stadium might be within Olympiacos’s powers, but for one more game Giannis Sfairopoulos’s players will be called to make ends meet without Georgios Printezis, Daniel Hackett and with Vassilis Spanoulis having just recovered from an injury. The Piraeus team has an advantage for the win, but with the extra burden from the last games falling on the rest of the players and the game against Bamberg coming up in two days, it’s preferable not to risk it with the home win. However, Crvena Zvezda is a team that sets a low tempo, so it’s better to go with the Under at 152,5 points (@OPAP 1,75). Besides, the two rivals have the two best defenses per possession.

Real Madrid – Bamberg

Real Madrid are coming off two defeats in the last three games and they certainly need an emphatic performance as Sergio Llull gets back in action. Bamberg are clearly elevated after the two wins in a row and they can definitely fight to maintain the 7,5-point handicap in their favor. However, it’s safer to bet on Real’s Over (@Stoiximan 1,67), since the Madrilenos – at home – have been consistently scoring more than 86,5 points in their last five games (the only exception being the opening night against Olympiacos).

The choices
Unics Kazan – Galatasaray (+7,5) 2
Anadolu Efes – Zalgiris Kaunas (+5,5) 1
Olympiacos – Crvena Zvezda Under 152,5 points
Real Madrid – Bamberg Real Over 86,5

Brose Baskets vs Barcelona

Bamberg was one of the unluckiest teams in Euroleague in first 5-6 games, they lost 90% of games with less than 5 points difference, and today they will host much more experienced Barcelona team.

Barcelona surely wants to be in playoff zone, and right now they are not so i think they will try hard this match, both of these teams won last 2 games, so they are on a roll... But i think that Tyrese Rice and company will dominate today.

Looks like Weems done for this season in Europe

Sony Weeems refused to take a FIBA sanctioned drug test and failed to show up to Maccabi’s practice, according to Israeli media.

The situation between the 30-year-old American and the team is now intense and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the latter decides to part ways with the latter. Not only that, but a ban from FIBA is possible for his refusal to show up.

Meanwhile, his teammates Victor Rudd and Gal Mekel were also called by FIBA and both took the test.

I think it's good news for Maccabi. Sony Weems this season looks terrible and without him they could play more attractive and team basketball. It's not the first time when he did something outside the court.

Fenerbahce vs Maccabi Tel Aviv

My bet for this match is win for home team Fenerbahce against away team Maccabi Tel Aviv but in the first half of this match with Asian handicap with more than 5,5 points difference on very nice odds 1,85 with max stake, Maccabi have problems in team, this is not important match for them and i think that they will play very open today, their defense is so bad especially in the last period of time and i think that Fener should finish this match already on the half time, home team Fenerbahce is in great form right now, they have three wins in a row in all competitions and they are huge favorites to win today, they play much better as team right now so good luck for this bet!

I hope anadolu learned from the first game and they will play more like a team instead of trying amazing shots and try to impress. they had really good chances from the start of the game but almost nothing got inside that basket. the greeks are very heavy team and they play european pace. i think the turkish team has the potential to keep close again for some period of time. they just need a little bit of consistency and take play by play. like their opponents. they need a win here so they have to play at their very best.

The first EuroLeague season under the new league format was successful on the court and it was also a success off it, as well.

The revenues of all clubs has doubled to a total of €30million, EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu confirmed.

The joint venture between the EuroLeague and IMG provided an important rise of revenues and the decade long project of the league is on the right path.

As a result of the venture, the television revenues went up. The big winners from the new deals are the clubs from Spain, Greece. Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv were the big winners though where the price of the television rights had a 200 percent rise compared to last season.

The club’s bonus totals:

Fenerbahce €1.930.000
Olympiacos: €1.470.000
CSKA Moscow: €1.390.000
Real Madrid: €1.330.000
Anadolu Efes: €820.000
Panathinaikos: €760.000
Darussafaka Dogus: €710.000
Baskonia: €680.000
Crvena Zvezda: €640.000
Zalgiris: €560.000
Barcelona: €480.000
Galatasaray: €440.000
Brose Bamberg: €400.000
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv: €400.000
Unics Kazan: €320.000
EA7 Milano: €320.000

Euroleague Basketball officials prep new season at clinic in Belgrade

embeded-image

Ahead of another jam-packed season of excitement, Euroleague Basketball game officials dedicated last weekend to sharpening their officiating skills in order to make every game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup even better for fans when the season tips off in October.

The 26th Clinic for Euroleague Basketball Officials, held in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, enjoyed the participation of all 65 officials who will referee EuroLeague and EuroCup games next season, along with 12 referee coaches and distinguished guest speakers. Among those special guests were David Blatt, former EuroLeague champion and current Darussafaka Istanbul head coach, and Ronnie Nunn, former NBA Director of Officials.

From dawn until dinner on Saturday and Sunday, the officials took physical and written tests, pored over game situations and points of emphasis, and reviewed on-court trends with the Euroleague Basketball Officiating Department. Discussion groups and technology instruction added to the collective depth of knowledge as the referees focused on how to enhance both the fairness of the game and the fan experience.

"Our officials are dedicated to keeping themselves at the cutting edge of the game's trends, and this weekend we saw their enthusiasm as they look forward to the new season," said Richard Stokes, Euroleague Basketball Director, Officiating. "It's all about constantly improving and ensuring that fans can enjoy Euroleague Basketball competitions to the fullest."

Among the instructional points of emphasis over the weekend was preparing referees to apply in Euroleague Basketball competitions during the 2017-18 season a newly reworded definition for travelling that the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) recently adopted for implementation worldwide starting October 1.

The clinic, which took place at the Metropole Palace Hotel in Belgrade, coincided with the opening of many team training camps in recent days and pointed to the final destination for Euroleague Basketball competitions at the culmination of the 2017-18 season. The Serbian capital is where the new season will reach a crescendo next spring with the crowning of a continental champion at the 2018 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four.
