West Ham's Andy Carroll was sent home from training yesterday following a furious bust-up with manager David Moyes, Sky Sports News understands.

The striker was clearly frustrated during Sunday's home defeat to Manchester City, remaining on the bench as an unused substitute before disappearing down the tunnel towards the end of the match.

This game is very important for Stoke City because they are in the relegation zone and they have 3 points less than Swansea team which is in the safe zone. So, they should fight hard for the points. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is playing not badly at the moment. Both teams should score in this game. BTTS

It is not about the football games but still... sad news...

Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage and is recovering in hospital.

Sky Sports News reported on Saturday evening that the 76-year-old was in a "serious condition". The club later confirmed Ferguson had had an operation.

He is in intensive care at Salford Royal hospital in Manchester having been taken there after falling ill at home.

A Manchester United spokesperson said "the procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery".

They added that the Ferguson family had requested "privacy in this matter".

Chelsea fights for the 4th place while Totte dropped out points. Meanwhile, Liverpool is playing strongly at attacking. So, I think it is worth to take BTTS and over 2.5 goals.

Arsenal want Massimiliano Allegri or Luis Enrique to be their next manager but both have concerns about taking the job because of the club’s management structure, according to Sky sources.

Arsene Wenger bid an emotional farewell to the Emirates on Sunday ahead of his departure this summer and the search to find his replacement is well underway.

Arsenal appointed a head of football relations (Raul Sanllehi) and a head of recruitment (Sven Mislintat) last year and the new manager would have to work closely with both.

Allegri, who has two years left on his contract at Juventus, looks set to lead the club to a fourth successive Serie A title this season.

The Italian is the favourite to succeed Wenger, while Carlo Ancelotti and Liverpool assistant coach Zeljko Buvac are also still among the frontrunners.

Former Barcelona manager Enrique is ready to return to the game after taking a year off following his departure from the Nou Camp last summer.

Mikel Arteta has also been linked to the job. The former Gunners midfielder is working as an assistant to Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola.

We will have a great fight between Swansea and Southampton today. Both teams have the same amount of points (33) but Southampton is in the safe zone while Swansea is in the relegation zone. Swansea needs to win this game and they are going to do everything in front of their fans. However, teams should play aggressively, so we should see many cards.

Who could be the winners and losers in the Premier League as the battle for a place in the top four draws to a conclusion?

With under a week to go until the end of the season, the top-four race has yet to be finalised.

Just three points separate Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.

What do you think?

Manchester United - Watford

Hello everyone with the English Premier League where Manchester united will host Watford. The two teams are in the second and thirteen position of the league table respectively. Manchester united had secured the second position of the league table and now playing with no stress and at home I believe they could win and with heavy score. Watford had three loses one draw and one win in their last five matches played. Last head to head match between the two teams ended with 4-2 win to man United. I pick total goals to be over 3.

PICK: OVER (3) @2.050 5/10

Mikel Arteta and Julian Nagelsmann have emerged as the front-runners for the Arsenal manager's job, Sky Sports News understands.

Arteta, currently Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City, and Hoffenheim manager Nagelsmann head the queue after Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said he would be staying at Juventus unless he was sacked.

As things stand, it is understood Arsenal have not made an official approach yet for club legends Patrick Vieira or Thierry Henry.

Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is reportedly interested in succeeding Arsene Wenger at the Emirates, but his wage demands are putting Arsenal off.

The club are expected to begin the interview process this week in the hope a new manager will be in place before the start of the World Cup on June 14.

Guardiola has said he will not stand in Arteta's way if Arsenal come calling but also said he would be "the happiest guy in the world" if he his fellow Spaniard stayed with Manchester City.

Nagelsmann has been linked with the Arsenal job in the past when he distanced himself from it.

David Moyes has left West Ham following the end of his short-term contract.

Moyes' assistants Alan Irvine, Stuart Pearce and Billy McKinlay have also departed with immediate effect.

The announcement arrived barely 12 hours after David Gold, West Ham's co-owner, said he hoped 55-year-old former Manchester United and Everton boss Moyes would remain in charge for next season.

Joint-Chairman David Sullivan said: "I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to David Moyes and his staff for achieving the target of keeping West Ham United in the Premier League.

"Throughout his time here, David has carried himself with dignity and honesty and we have all found him to be a pleasure to work with.

"He, Alan, Stuart and Billy accepted the challenge and attacked it head on, turning around a difficult situation. They deserve great respect for the job they have done and they leave the club with our best wishes.

"When David and his team arrived, it was the wish of both parties that the focus be only on the six months until the end of the season, at which point a decision would be made with regards to the future.

"Having taken stock of the situation and reflected now the campaign is complete, we feel that it is right to move in a different direction.

"We are already taking steps to identify and recruit the manager we believe can take West Ham United forward in line with our ambitions.

"We aim to appoint a high-calibre figure who we feel will lead the club into an exciting future for our loyal supporters within the next 10 days."

Sky Sports News understands that Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez and former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini are on the shortlist to replace Moyes.

It is also understood that between 30 and 40 managers have expressed an interest in the job.

Moyes was appointed as Slaven Bilic's successor in November last year with the club in the relegation zone.

The Hammers finished in 13th place in the Premier League but their season has been marred by fan unrest, culminating in a pitch invasion during their 3-0 defeat to Burnley in March.

West Ham met with representatives of Pellegrini on Wednesday but Sky Sports News understands his wages demands are an issue for the Hammers.

Arsenal have confirmed the appointment of Unai Emery as their new head coach, replacing Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.

The 46-year-old Spaniard arrives at the club following a two-year spell at PSG. He led the club to a domestic treble this season, but his contract was not extended and was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Emery told Arsenal's official website: "I am thrilled to be joining one of the great clubs in the game.

"Arsenal is known and loved throughout the world for its style of play, its commitment to young players, the fantastic stadium, the way the club is run. I'm very excited to be given the responsibility to start this important new chapter in Arsenal's history.

"I have met Stan and Josh Kroenke and it's clear they have great ambitions for the club and are committed to bringing future success. I'm excited about what we can do together and I look forward to giving everyone who loves Arsenal some special moments and memories."

Hopefully he stays long to build his system and footballers that's fit for him. Also very interesting who he will buy in transfer windows when he know that he would be able to spend just up to 50 million euros.

Brazil international Fred admits he is aware of a "very strong bid" from Manchester United.

Sky Sports News understands United are in advanced talks with Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk for the midfielder and a deal is close.

Fred, who is currently with the Brazil squad ahead of this summer's World Cup, also revealed United's interest follows an approach made by their rivals Manchester City in January.

Speaking at a press conference covered by Globo Esporte, Fred said: "The talks had been in progress since January with City. Soon after, City and United talked to Shakhtar and my agents.

"And now, if I'm not mistaken, there was news of a very strong bid from United."

However, the 25-year-old insists his focus is on the World Cup, saying he will leave negotiations to his representatives, one of whom is former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva.

He said: "As far as negotiations go, I am only [focused] on the World Cup. You just think about that, forget about other things. My agents are taking care of it."

On the interest from the Manchester clubs, he said: "It is an honour to have the attention of the great coaches of Europe."

City were believed to be keen on signing Fred in January as a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, but have now turned their attention to Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

Liverpool must look for a new world-class goalkeeper in the summer as it will be "very difficult" for Loris Karius to stay at the club, says Peter Shilton.

Karius made two significant mistakes in Liverpool's 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid - throwing the ball straight to Karim Benzema, who turned the ball into an empty net to put Real ahead - before he let Gareth Bale's long-range strike slip through his hands for the third.

The 24-year-old, who has made a total of 49 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions since signing from Mainz in 2016, broke down in tears at the full-time whistle, later adding "I lost my team the game".

"If he does stay at Liverpool I hope the fans give him a chance. They're the sort of fans that would do that, but I think it will be very difficult for him to stay at Liverpool."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has since offered his sympathies to Karius, who received death threats on social media after the final in Kiev.

Karius has also received support from fellow Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet who said that he had "been in this situation" before.

"I feel for him," added Shilton. "It was two horrendous mistakes in one of the biggest games in history - certainly for Liverpool anyway, who haven't been to a Champions League final for years.

The Football Association is expected to confirm details of a Premier League winter break, starting in the 2019-2020 season, in the next fortnight, Sky Sports News understands.

The news comes after FA chief executive Martin Glenn confirmed to FA councillors for the first time that a two-week break was to be implemented.

The agreement with the Premier League, which is likely to be signed off next week, will mark the end of more than a decade of debate over giving top players recuperation time after the busy Christmas schedule.

Chelsea are likely to sell Thibaut Courtois and are considering entering the race for Roma goalkeeper Alisson, according to Sky in Italy.

The Belgium international has just a year left on his current contract and the Blues have decided to stop negotiations over a renewal.

Courtois made 46 appearances for the Blues last season but they missed out on Champions League qualification and manager Antonio Conte's future remains in doubt heading into the summer, with Maurizio Sarri linked to the job.
