Manchester United vs - Tottenham HotspursMachester United and Tottenham - these two old foes, who first met in 1909, lie second and third in the table, only separated by goal difference. It’s a crucial game for both sides as they look to close the 5-point gap on leaders Manchester City.
But one of these two team have a big problem. Tottenham will play against United without their most important player Harry Kane. Striker has a problem with his thigh, so he certainly will miss this game. It’s very big loss for Spurs because Kane has produced six goal in the last five Premier League games.
Both teams played this week in Carabao Cup and Spurs lost their game against West Ham. It was a surprise but we all know how Tottenham can play in the big matches. In the Premier League they have four wins in a row.
We can say the same about Manchester United. They have a brilliant defense this season but the last match against Huddersfied in Premier League was a real misunderstanding – they lost 2:1. They didn't win their last two league games – they also have a draw with Liverpool.
But that will be different situation. That will not be a normal match for Jose Mourinho. I’m sure that United will not play just for the draw. They will play at home and victory is very important if they still want to be in the fight for first place. But the same situation is with Tottenham.
As we all know, both teams are pretty good in defense but if we look to the last matches we’ll see that they aren’t so brilliant. Tottenham conceded three goals in the last four games, United – two and both in the last game. Yeah, both of them playing a really well in defense but that will be a match for the win and nothing more.
Betsafe give a very interesting bet for this match – both teams will score at least one goal and one of them will win a match (2.90). It’s very unpopular bet but as I said both teams will fight for the win and if they want to win they should score at least one goal.
Also looks very logical bet for Manchester United victory. They aren’t in superb form at this moment but they have a good statistic against Tottenham, especially at home.
Manchester United have won their last three Premier League home games against Spurs. Also Tottenham have lost 20 of their 25 Premier League trips to Old Trafford.
I can’t imagine that Mourinho team, who are fighting for the first place, will want to lose this match and
Bet365 give a 2.15 odd for United victory.
