ARSENAL & LIVERPOOL CONSIDERING BENZEMA

HD Karim Benzema Real Madrid

Arsenal and Liverpool could make a move for Karim Benzema should Real Madrid decide to sell the French striker, Don Balon reports.

Madrid reportedly have set their sights on Monaco star Kylian Mbappe, with the club planning to use Benzema to help finance the move. While the Gunners and Reds are in contention for Benzema, the 29-year-old also could end up at Monaco to help lower the price for Mbappe.

MAN CITY SET ON LANDING ALEXIS OR MBAPPE

Kylian Mbappe Monaco 2017

Manchester City are determined to round off a summer of heavy spending with the blockbuster signing of Alexis Sanchez or Kylian Mbappe, according to the Daily Mail .

Pep Guardiola has already brought in a host of new faces at the Etihad Stadium, with the focus thus far on strengthening an ageing defence.

But the manager wants a top name to bolster his strikeforce, too, and will not rest in his pursuit of either £50 million-rated Arsenal man Sanchez or Mbappe, whose fee could reach as much as £100m.

FUMING PEREZ WANTS OUT OF ARSENAL

Lucas Perez Arsenal

Losing his shirt number to Alexandre Lacazette was the last straw for Lucas Perez as the incensed forward looks for the exit at the Emirates, La Voz de Galicia reports.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Perez was left fuming by the decision to hand his No.9 jersey to the ex-Lyon man.

That slight led to an apparent conversation with Arsenal director Dick Law, who was told in no uncertain terms that the Spaniard wants a transfer to Deportivo as soon as possible.

VAN DIJK ONE OF FOUR WANTED BY CHELSEA

Virgil van Dijk Southampton

Chelsea will not rest after the signing of Alvaro Morata and have Virgil van Dijk at the top of a list of four players they want at Stamford Bridge, report the Sun .

The Southampton man joins Alex Sandro, Antonio Candreva and Fernando Llorente as priorities for Antonio Conte ahead of the new season.

To land Van Dijk, however, Chelsea may have to battle Liverpool, who are long-term admirers of the defender's abilities.

UNHAPPY MAHREZ SET TO STAY AT LEICESTER

Riyad Mahrez Leicester City

Wantaway Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez looks likely to spend next season at the club, as no team is willing to meet the Foxes' astronomical valuation, according to the Mirror .

Arsenal are one of the clubs to be linked with an approach for the mastermind behind Leicester's incredible 2015-16 title win, who is said to be unhappy at the King Power Stadium.

But Arsene Wenger has baulked at the £50 million slapped on Mahrez's head, and Leicester's unwillingness to compromise has already scared away interest from Roma this summer.

MADRID WANT TO SELL BENZEMA

Karim Benzema Juventus Real Madrid UCL 03062017

Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez has decided that it is time to sell Karim Benzema, Spanish outlet Diario Gol reports.

With €35 million having been spent on the striker back in 2009, Perez feels he has made plenty of money back on his investment and that now is the time to cash in on the 29-year-old in order to finance a move for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe

CHELSEA READY €40M SERGI ROBERTO BID

Sergi Roberto Barcelona

MESSI CONVINCES NEYMAR TO STAY

Lionel Messi Neymar Barcelona

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have convinced Neymar to stay at Barcelona despite speculation he could move to PSG, according to Sport .

The Brazil superstar has been linked with a word record €222 million move, but his team-mates have gotten him to reject PSG's advances to remain at Camp Nou. Barcelona defender Gerard Pique hinted at the decision , tweeting "he stays".

MAN CITY PLAYERS WANT NASRI OUT

Samir Nasri France Euro 2012

Samir Nasri's Manchester City team-mates do not want the midfielder at the club, a source has told the Daily Mail .

The France international has two years remaining on his City deal, but is an unpopular figure in the dressing room, with many of the squad looking for him to be sold due to his attitude.

MOURINHO REFUSING TO SELL YOUNG

Ashley Young Manchester United

Jose Mourinho will turn down any offers for Ashley Young in order to keep him at Manchester United, according to the Sun .

Stoke City are interested in the 32-year-old wide player, but Mourinho sees him as an essential part of his United squad and is not willing to let him leave Old Trafford.

BONY WAGES AN ISSUE FOR SWANSEA

Wilfried Bony Manchester City

Swansea City have agreed terms with Manchester City for the transfer of Wilfried Bony, but are concerned about his £130,000-a-week wage demands, according to Wales Online .

With Fernando Llorente on the way out, the Swans want Bony as a replacement, but are not willing to meet his astronomical wage demands.

JUVENTUS PULL OUT OF MATIC MOVE

HD Nemanja Matic Chelsea

Juventus have ended their interest in Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, leaving the door open for Manchester United to complete a deal, says Corriere dello Sport .

The Blues have set a £40 million price for the Serbia international, with Juve not willing to match that.

Antonio Conte is happy for Matic to reunite with United boss Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, having completed a deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko earlier this month.

LIVERPOOL GIVE UP ON KEITA... FOR NOW

HD Naby Keita

Liverpool have given up in their chase to sign RB Leipzig star Naby Keita this summer but will continue their pursuit next year when his release clause lowers, according to the Mirror .

Jurgen Klopp's side have had two bids rejected for the 22-year-old, the highest of which was around £66 million.

Keita will be available for £48m next summer, however, with Liverpool ready to wait until then to strike a deal.

LIVERPOOL WAITING ON VAN DIJK SIGNAL

HD Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool are waiting in the wings to move for Virgil van Dijk if Southampton are willing to listen to offers for the want-away defender, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The Reds were initially keen on landing Van Dijk but publicly ended their interest after reports Southampton were threatening action over an alleged illegal approach.

However, the Echo claims Liverpool are ready to cough up a club-record fee for the Netherlands international if the Saints make it clear they will negotiate a transfer.

ALEXIS' PSG MOVE SET TO COLLAPSE

Alexis Sanchez Arsenal

The transfer of Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain is hanging by a thread after financial wrangling interrupted talks, according to Le Parisien .

The Chilean had been widely tipped to complete a move from Arsenal after travelling to Paris to meet PSG sporting director Antero Henrique .

But despite early progress in contract talks, the deal is now unlikely to prosper due to both elevated demands from Alexis' agents and the reluctance of Arsenal to sell their star.

Marco Asensio wants to be rewarded by Real Madrid for his progress last season following interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus, according to Don Balon .

PEREZ OFFERED 10-YEAR CONTRACT

Lucas Perez Arsenal

Deportivo La Coruna have offered Lucas Perez a 10-year contract in an attempt to persuade the Arsenal striker to return to the club, reports DXT Campeon .

The two players have been in contact via WhatsApp regarding Neymar's potential move to the Ligue 1 giants.

VERRATTI OPEN TO MAN UTD MOVE

HD Marco Verratti PSG

Wantaway Paris Saint-Germain Marco Verratti has named Barcelona as his first-choice destination, but is open to a summer transfer to Manchester United, according to the Express .

LIVERPOOL STEP UP VAN DIJK HUNT

Virgil van Dijk, Southampton

Liverpool refuse to be beaten in their pursuit of Virgil van Dijk and will attempt to close the deal before the end of the transfer window, according to the Daily Mail .

Southampton have been adamant they will not sell their star defender, insisting he would stay at St. Mary's.

But after incessant interest from the Reds the club could now relent, and have lined up Lazio's Wesley Hoedt as a possible replacement.

Liverpool are set to rival Arsenal to sign Monaco's Thomas Lemar if Philippe Coutinho joins Barcelona, Le 10 Sport claim.

Monaco have already turned down a €50m approach from the Gunners for their left-sided attacker.

Barca's move for the Brazilian, meanwhile, would seem to hinge upon Neymar moving to PSG.

MAN UTD AGREE AURIER TERMS

Serge Aurier Angers PSG Coupe de France 27052017

Manchester United have struck a deal with Serge Aurier to sign the right-back from Paris Saint-Germain but he wil have to face a court hearing to be granted permission to enter the UK, The Mirror reports.

The 24-year-old has previously been banned from entering the country after he was found guilty of assaulting a police officer. However, the Red Devils are anxious to provide another option alongside Antonio Valencia and hope to complete the deal after agreeing personal terms.

LIVERPOOL WANT LEMAR

Thomas Lemar Monaco

Liverpool may enter the race to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco if Philipp Coutinho joins Barcelona, Le10 Sport claims.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been the subject of bids from Arsenal, but Monaco are determined to hold on to him. However, with Coutinho being pursued by Barca as a potential replacement for Neymar should he join Paris Saint-Germain, the Reds may go after the France international.

BARCA COULD TURN TO OZIL

Mesut Ozil Arsenal

Barcelona could turn their attention to signing Arsenal's Mesut Ozil if they are unable to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, Don Balon claims.

With Neymar's future up in the air regarding a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Catalan side are having to look at alternatives to the former Brazil captain.

Coutinho is said to be atop their wishlist if his countryman does leave for PSG, but Barca believe they could prise Ozil away from the Emirates for a fee of around €60 million and have a dig at Real Madrid – the German's former club – in the process.

RONALDO DOESN'T WANT MBAPPE AT REAL

Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo does not want to see Kylian Mbappe join Real Madrid because he is wary of losing his star status at the club, according to Diario Gol .

The Champions League winners have been linked closely with Monaco's wonderkid, with rumours of a summer signing continuing to circulate.

But Ronaldo is reportedly worried sharing the spotlight with Mbappe will harm his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or again, and would not look kindly on the blockbuster signing.

LIVERPOOL FACE KEITA COMPETITION

HD Naby Keita

Liverpool's chances of landing Naby Keita are in further danger as CalcioMercato claim Inter have entered the race for the RB Leipzig star.

The Reds have chased Keita for weeks, but have been unable to agree terms with his club and are resigned to delaying a further approach for next summer.

But even there they may miss out on the 22-year-old, as the Serie A giants also consider a bid in 2018.

Probably the best decision from him to move here. In the biggest clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona he would be benched and didn't a lot of chance to improve. Meanwhile Monaco one of the best places for new talented players. The past years confirmed that.
