NFL playoffs start tomorrow with the Wild Card round! This is what I'm expecting

Colts @ Texans

Arguably the two hottest teams to end the Regular Season and two of the best comeback teams after slow starts to the season. Texans after starting 0-3 finished the season 11-5 (11-2 stretch), meanwhile Colts after starting 1-5 finished the season 10-6 (9-1 in last 10) and clinched the spot by literally defeating Tennessee in a DO OR DIE game meaning they've been in Playoff game situation ever since last week.

I'm expecting a close game, we've got two of the best Quarterbacks in Deshaun Watson who is making his playoff debut and Andrew Luck who put together one of the most historical NFL come back seasons and both teams have solid offenses while being around the top 10 in defense. I think it will really come down to which defense comes through in the end. Expect a back and forward battle just like we've seen between these two teams in the Regular Season when Houston won 37-34 then Colts responded with a 24-21 win in the 2 H2H match ups this season. I think this could be an under-ish game and essentially it'll come down to a last drive to decide the winner. I'm linked towards Houston due to home field, but can't underestimate Indianapolis. These teams are way too evenly matched so If I was to make a bet I think it's best to wait for something to come up LIVE.

Seahawks @ Cowboys

Another two teams who are very evenly matched and finished the season STRONG after slow starts. Seahawks finished the season 6-1 and after starting 4-5 finished with a 10-6 record, Cowboys after starting 3-5 finished 10-6 (7-1 in last 8). Both teams were initially expected to miss the Playoffs, but after putting together solid ends of the season they're here and will look to make a SB push

To me this game will be decided by offense. We have a huge QB battle between Wilson and Prescott and then two of the top 10 running teams with Seahawks being the best in Rush YDS, Dallas being 10th led by one of the best running backs in Ezekiel Elliott. Another key factor in this match up is home field advantage. Dallas are 7-1 on their field which is tied best for their conference and I think this will essentially prove to be the key factor in this match up. I also expect Dallas defense to show up more than Seattle's which should essentially put them over the line. Seattle won this meeting in the reg season 24-13 at home, but with the fields switched I think Dallas will come through in the end with a 3 point win so my pick is DAL -2 handicap

Chargers @ Ravens

Chargers are probably the unluckiest team in the Playoff bracket. Being 12-4 (tied best record in the AFC) yet they're 5th seeded and HOW? Oh Kansas City who are in their division are also 12-4 and won the Division pushing LAC all the way to 5th not being able to play at home at all in the Playoffs and having to potentially go through Baltimore, NE and Kansas all on the road. Unlucky right..

Ravens meanwhile with a rookie QB Lamar Jackson who since starting led the Ravens to a 6-1 record after starting 4-5 to finish 10-6 and a AFC North title will be full of confidence. Now Ravens squeaked into the Playoffs on the last day just barely beating the Browns 26-24 thanks to their defense stepping up late so they have already experienced an elimination game as you could say. Also Baltimore have the H2H edge over LAC as they beat them 22-10 just a couple weeks ago in the regular season in LOS ANGELES by shutting out their powerhouse offense and costing them a 1st seed.

Looking at these teams, Baltimore are top 2 defensively alongside the Bears, but got an okay, not a bad not great offense while Chargers are around 10th in DEF and a solid offense. I think Chargers offense vs Ravens defense is the KEY battle. If Ravens defense quietens the Chargers offense they'll win, but if Phillipp Rivers and co come through then I expect the Chargers to come out winning this game. This game is being played in Baltimore and this team is RED HOT right now but the Chargers are arguably the better team. It's a 50/50 match up and if I was to bet I'd back the Chargers due to higher odds even despite the fact that Baltimore lit them up last time because if anything, LAC will be more prepared for this game and normally great teams like they tend to get revenge and we've seen them grab huge road wins this season already (PITTSBURGH, KANSAS)

Eagles @ Bears

DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE. This is what we're going to see here! 12-4 Bears host SB Champs Eagles who got into the Playoffs after pretty much being written off just a few weeks ago. Bears after starting 3-3 went 9-1 in the Final 10 games and they've done it by having the BEST defense in the league, suffociating teams and beating them down. Offensively, Bears aren't elite but Trubisky has done the required job to get those Wins.

Eagles were pretty much down and out with 3 games left and when Carson Wentz went out, Nick Foles came back and well.. THE MAGIC RETURNED. They won in LA against the Rams, beat the 11-5 Texans and shut out the Redskins while their today's opponents Bears did them a favour beating Minnesota to clinch Eagles a playoff berth. It's not been a great season by any means for Philadelphia, they're in the middle in both offense and defense in the NFL however in the last 3 games we've them click on all cylinders and given that they're the SB Champs and Nick Foles has experience they are a very dangerous team to play against right now.

I think this will be an extremely close game, very low scoring it could seriously end around 13-10. Chicago do have the home field advantage where they're 7-1 this season and Eagles do still miss a strong running game with Ajayi out. Philadelphia will need Foles to put together an elite performance if they want to overcome this Chicago defense and their tough home advantage and my biggest worry here is that he may not be 100% with that Injury that he picked up, but will play through and Chicago's defense will get the job done. It won't be a blowout but Chicago will win imo by 3-4 pts. I'd take the Eagles +6.5 and an under 41 pts. I don't see an offensive explosion or a blowout here.

Predictions

Texans 25-22 Colts
Cowboys 27-24 Seahawks
Ravens 17-22 Chargers
Bears 13-10 Eagles

Surprised how easily Colts manhandled the Texans, while Cowboys actually lived up to the hype and delivered in the playoffs man

Colts v Chiefs and Cowboys v Rams are gonna be great matchups

Pathetic from the Texans... beaten from the start, awful loss after that stretch they put together in regular season. Luck vs Mahomes will be wild

Ravens fans booing Lamar Jackson was not cool.. He literally took them to the Playoffs after a slow start I'm glad he responded by nearly bringing them all the way back though good for his confidence in the end. Just hope the loss doesn't affect him

We should know by now to never count Eagles out with N.Foles as their QB, this dude is MAGIC! Funny stat, last few games Eagles played against 3 best Pass rushers in the NFL Donald, Watt and Mack and their offensive line gave up 0 sacks against Nick Foles. This Eagles team is special from defense to offence to special teams to coaching to fans... Next up Saints who are 9.5 point favorite, but remember they just sat out 1 week (bye-week) yes it gives you rest, but sometimes it takes your momentum away so Eagles are not done YET!

I'll be rooting hard for them, just imagine Foles going back to back. Not to forget that they were nearly down and out multiple times this season. No wonder they're the SuperBowl champions

NFL Playoffs - Divisional Round

embeded-image

SO THE DIVISIONAL ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS IS HERE AND HERE ARE MY PREDICTIONS! After a relatively successful week last week with betting tips here in the Wild Card round I'm hoping for another great week so here are my expectations for this round:

Colts @ Chiefs

My most anticipated game. Two teams with quarter backs who can absolutely explode and lead their offenses to high scoring games in Andrew Luck and Patrick Mahomes. Easily two of the best quarter backs in the NFL right now.

Luck had 39 TD 15 INT (2/1 in Wild Card rd), Mahmoes was absolutely historical this season with 50TD and a 5000+ yds season but everything goes out the window if he doesn't lead his Chiefs to a win here! Colts are arguably the hottest team in NFL with playoffs included they're 11-1 in their last 12 games after starting 1-5 and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they won this game. Chiefs have been up and down to end their regular season finishing it 3-3 after a 9-1 start.

I'm expecting an over-ish game here. The total at Unibet is 56.5 and I expect it to be obliterated. Chiefs defense is going to allow Colts to put up points at will because they simply don't defend (2nd worst in YDS allowed) and just look at what top teams did to the Chiefs offensively (Pats 43 Rams 54 Chargers 28, 29 Steelers 37 pts). But offensively, Chiefs are the best in the NFL and should be able to put up points at will. I think both teams will put up points in 30s and we should see a 37-34 game either way. Over 56.5 pts and Colts +5.5 are my picks, could even risk a Colts win at 2.85, after all they are the hottest team in the NFL right now and I'd honestly trust Indianapolis to get THE most needed stop rather than Kansas if it came down to last possesion.

Cowboys @ Rams

A very intriguing match up. Offensive powerhouse, the 13-3 Rams led by 2 young stars in Goff and Gurley host the rejuvenated and red hot Dallas Cowboys who are coming off a very impressive 24-22 win over the Seattle Seahawks last week in the Wild Card round.

Rams are 7 point favourites understandably so but man I'm not sure whether it'll be straight forward for them. Rams just like Kansas have finished the season playing up and down football, not as explosive as they were to start the season and they're playing a team who are RED HOT as mentioned in Dallas who are 8-1 in their last 9, they've been better on the road too winning 3 of 4 after losing the opening 4 and they have experience in winning a Playoff game this season so they're used to that pressure already.

Dallas defense is very good and Rams offense could get slowed down which should allow Dak, Zeke, Amari Cooper and co have their opportunities offensively. If Dallas offense plays well enough then they will have a LEGITIMATE chance of winning in my eyes. This should be another close game and my pick is Dallas +7 although I do think Rams will pull off a close win in the end put it'll be between 3-5 pts.

Chargers @ Patriots

Phillip Rivers vs Tom Brady is always a fun one. Now of course Brady has a crazy 7-0 record against Rivers, but this is probably the best shot Rivers will have at the who some people proclaim the "GOAT". Chargers were 12-4, Pats 11-5 but seedings turned out in a way where Pats are playing at Home because LAC's division rivals Kansas won the division and moved them to 5th seed.

Chargers won the Wild Card defeating a dangerous Ravens team 23-17 where they nearly blew a 20 pt lead but a win that will definitely give them a ton of confidence going into another tough, tough ROAD game against the Pats. Now although Tom Brady and the Patriots may not have been as great as they've been in recent seasons, one thing stayed the same and that's their dominance at Home where they went 8-0 this season incredibly so! Pats seemed unbeatable playing at the Foxborough including winning over 1st seeded Kansas.

I think we'll see a very close game here, but in the end Tom Brady will lead his Patriots to a win. I just don't believe that Tom will allow his team to lose at home to the Chargers. These teams are evenly matched to me and it will be decided by home field advantage. Expect points to be put up in this one with 2 of the best QBs in the NFL going head to head but I won't touch the total because 47.5 is a bit too high. My pick is Pats -2.5 because I see this being decided by a FG, although Pats to win is priced at 4 points right now at Unibet I'd suggest to wait LIVE for the handicap to drop or look for other pages if they have a lower handicap pre-game.

Eagles @ Saints

NICK FOLES MAGIC AT IT AGAIN? Well it appears so after Philadelphia eliminated 12-4 Chicago on the road thanks to a Nick Foles drive a DOINK DOINK by the Bears kicker 😄 of course. Well Philly are now 4-0 with Foles in the Playoffs since last year, but this is the toughest test he's faced for sure, yes even tougher than NE at SB last year. the 13-3 New Orleans on the Road led by arguable MVP Drew Brees.

New Orleans have home field throughout the whole Playoffs until SB and will be damned if they lose this one for sure. However, we simply cannot underestimate Philly who finished the season 3-0 winning at LAR, vs Texans and at WSH shutting them down, they won in Chicago in the Wild Card round and now look to ruin the best teams season in the NFL! As underdogs, Eagles are probably the most dangerous and the Saints will for sure have their work cut out for them.

Saints beat the Eagles 48-7 earlier in the Regular Season, but to me this is actually more of a reason to back Philly since they'll be way more prepared this time round and in sports when a team gets blown out by a certain opponent, they tend to make it a lot tougher for that opponent next time round and this is what I can see happening here therefore Eagles +8 is what I'm picking here. Plus Eagles are playing much better right now than they did then, their defense looks LEGIT again and I think they'll give Saints offense some problems for sure. Whether Ealges win I'm not sure, but they will definitely put Drew Brees and the Saints through an extremely tough game. I think NO will pull off a close win in the end, but Philly will cover the Handicap.

Predictions
Colts 37-34 Chiefs
Cowboys 24-28 Rams
Chargers 22-25 Patriots
Eagles 20-24 Saints

What a pathetic performance by LAC. Pats are playing great but the Chargers simply failed to turn up. You can't be 12-4 and allow to get yourself obliterated like this. But once again Pats showing that you can't write them off

Pats 9-0 at Foxborough this season. Too bad for them they have to go on the road against KC Chiefs. But seriously Sony Michel was insane today 3 TD 129 YDS 24 CAR. Brady continues to dominate Rivers aswell, 8-0 now
