The 2010 NHL playoff schedule is here! The action begins Wednesday, with four series getting underway. Sidney Crosby and the Penguins get things started in Game 1 against the Ottawa Senators.

Another highlight that night should be Game 1 of the Detroit Red Wings vs. Phoenix Coyotes series. The Coyotes have been an inspiring surprise this season, but Detroit has been the best team in the NHL since the Olympic break—and is the defending Western Conference champion.

If it’s Alexander Ovechkin you’re interested in, you can catch him Thursday at 7:00 p.m. ET when the Caps take on the Montreal Canadiens. Also be sure to follow Boston at Buffalo that night; it could be a goaltending showdown between Ryan Miller and Tuukka Rask.

The 2010 NHL playoff schedule is packed throughout the weekend. There are five games slated to go Friday, three on Saturday, and another five on Sunday.

Haven't taken the time to look but off the top of your head what does the tv schedule look like for these first series?

What a first round its been so far. Some close games, some crazy comebacks, and some wild OT winners. Great for the sport that is for sure.

I agree....has been some great hockey so far. Too bad I am a Montreal Canadiens fan.....My lord did they ever blow it in game two😡😡 I still think we will see a Pittsburgh v.s Chicago Final.

Indeed that was one heck of a come back. Close one on right now for Les Habitants. What part of Montreal? I am a frequent vistor many prep school buddies live up there.

With philly already punching their ticket i would guess washington closes out mtl even though mtl is currently winning 2-0. boston hopefully can close out buffalo. detroit will probably sneek by phx. sjs will close out col. van's sedins are just too much for the kings to handle. and pit will close out ottawa
