I think it is worth to take Winnipeg Jets tonight because Boston lost many players because of the injuries.

I saw that Jackets team is playing so powerfully at the moment. They won 11 of their last 12 games, so they should win against Flames easily

We will have a game between Lightning and Predators and I think we should see many goals in this match, so it is worth to take over

Some crazy numbers...

After entering the season with 500-1 odds to win the Stanley Cup, the Golden Knights are now co-favorites at 4-1 with the Predators (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook).

Game: Pittsburgh Penguins - Philadelphia Flyers

Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins -1 or -2

Pittsburgh team leads these series 3-1. Penguins lost one game but the other three matches won without no problem and ended with results such as 5:0, 5:1 and 7:0. I think that Penguins should play well at home and win this game confidently. So, it is worth to take it.

Gambling History in the Making: The Golden Knights Advance to the Stanley Cup Final

The Highlights

* The Vegas Golden Knights, who opened the season as 500-1 underdogs, defeated the Winnipeg Jets in five games to win the Western Conference.
*Now that the Knights are just four wins away from completing a sporting miracle, we put their odds-defying march in perspective.

The Vegas Golden Knights have made it to the Stanley Cup Final. A 2-1 victory over Winnipeg closed out the Western Conference Finals in five games. It’s inexplicable and wonderful at the same time.

Before the season, Vegas was listed as high as 500-1 at some shops, including the Westgate, with other books hanging the expansion team between 100-1 and 200-1.

There have been bigger longshots to win league titles. Leicester City of the English Premier League are the poster children for sporting miracles after they won the Premier League as 5000-1 underdogs in 2015-16.

There is a big difference, however, between a team playing in England’s East Midlands and one playing its first season on the Vegas strip. The whole story is enchanting, but wrapping your head around the fact that this team plays in the sports gambling capital of the world really takes it from a heartwarmer to something bigger.

Back in January, I spoke with Bob Scucci, the Director of Sport and Gaming for Boyd Gaming, about the Knights’ hot start to the season.

“You have to look at it like this,” Scucci said back in January. “How much would you spend, as a corporation, to promote your casino? We spend money on billboards and advertisements and things like that. So whatever we’re going to lose on the Golden Knights is like promotion for the city.”

“Eventually it will come back to us. We’ll have more fans here coming and enjoying the games or maybe even betting on the games, so in this case we’re going to lose, yeah, but way more bookmakers will be rooting the same way I am. It’s going to be great for the city, so whatever we lose, we lose.”

Because of local fans and sportsbook foot traffic, brick-and-mortar Las Vegas sportsbooks have big liability riding on the Golden Knights. On the other hand, offshore sportsbooks have very little Golden Knights exposure, according to BetDSI’s Scott Cooley.

“Our liability isn’t too great with the Golden Knights,” Cooley said. “Unlike the shops in Vegas, BetDSI didn’t have a ton of hopeful locals rushing to the window to bet on the home team.”

The Knights will face either the Tampa Bay Lightning or Washington Capitals in the Stanley Cup Final. Tampa Bay currently leads the Eastern Conference Final, 3-2. The general consensus is that the Lightning would open a -140 favorite if they advance, but the Knights would be favored over the Caps.

Here are the tickets the Knights have already cashed this season:

* Over/Under 26.5 Wins (they finished with 51)
* Over/Under 68.5 Points (they finished with 109)
* Make the playoffs: 10.000 (they were 1.06 to miss the playoffs)
* Win the Pacific Division: 34.000
* Win the Western Conference 93.500

Odds slashed on Las Vegas Golden Knights landing Stanley Cup

The newly formed Vegas Golden Knights have gone from last to first in the betting across the season and are now one series away from the most unlikely of Stanley Cup victories.

Many American sports teams go through long droughts before they achieve success, with the Chicago Cubs enduring 108 years before breaking their streak, this could be the reason bookies didn’t give the Vegas Golden Knights a prayer at the start of the season, installing them as 500/1 shots for glory.

Nonetheless, led by Head Coach Gerard Gallant and GM George McPhee, the Golden Knights have surprised everyone consistently, winning their division comfortably before sweeping the Kings and dispatching San Jose 4-2 and Winnipeg 4-1 in the play-offs.

Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “Football has its Leicester City story, boxing has Buster Douglas.

“Now hockey could receive a monumental underdog story of its own if the Vegas Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup.

“Available at 500/1 before the season started, they’ve shocked bookies by consistently winning and now stand on the cusp of history. It would take a brave punter to back against them now.”

Oddschecker also revealed Since the start of the season, a total of 46% of all bets on the eventual winner of the Stanley Cup have been placed on the Vegas team, including punters getting on at 500/1, 300/1, 100/1 and 66/1.

A number of bookies now have the Golden Knights at odds-on to win the Stanley Cup, although you can still get a best price of 11/10 on the biggest sporting shock of the last 12 months having a fairy-tale ending.

Vegas will play either the Tampa Bay Lightning or the Washington Capitals in the Finals, with the former favoured at 9/4 to win the Stanley Cup compared to the Caps at 7/2.

NHL to net big from sports betting?

A Nielsen Sports study has detailed that the annual revenue of the National Hockey League (NHL), could be increased by $216m, as the sport nets the benefits of widely available, legal, regulated sports betting in the US.

The report, which was commissioned by the American Gaming Association (AGA) emphasised that heightened levels of fan engagement and viewership are set to bolster the NHL’s profitability when it comes to media rights, sponsorships, merchandise and ticket sales.

“Today’s announcement reaffirms that legal, regulated sports betting will create significant new revenue opportunities for sports leagues,” said Sara Slane, senior vice president of public affairs for the American Gaming Association. “Much like the NHL’s recent successful expansion into Las Vegas, legal sports betting will continue to expand across the country, bringing with it a $216m opportunity for the league.”

A further key source of revenue for the NHL will come as a result of spending by betting operators and data providers. The study outlines that gaming operators may spend $24m on advertising, which will directly increase the league’s rights fees by the same amount. An additional $35m in sponsorship revenue and $6m in data is also projected for the league and its teams. However, this could grow should the relationship between operators and the league flourish.

In conducting the study, Nielsen Sports surveyed more than 1,000 adult sports fans – including NHL fans – and self-identified sports bettors nationwide to model how a national, legal sports betting market would affect the sports consumption habits of non-bettors, casual bettors and avid bettors, and how this change in consumption would translate to increased revenue.

Last season was the debut NHL season of newly formed Las Vegas-based franchise: the Vegas Golden Knights. In its first outing, the side achieved an incredibly strong performance, only missing out on play-off victory in dramatic fashion.
