France was my underdog to win the tournment some weeks ago because they have an great squad with offencive power in the trio Benzema, Ribery and Nasri. The worrying thing is all the internal problems that earlier has been in their squad. Are those problems solved? Have Blanc been able to put some harmony into their squad? Those are the questions....If the answer is Yes to both those questions than France will be dangeorous in this tournment.

England has problems of their own with racist scandals, injured players, supsended key player (Rooney) etc..... I dont believe in them at all in this campaign and thinnk that they will start with a loss here.

BANGKOK, 13 June 2012 The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is setting up a special taskforce tasked with monitoring online gambling activities during the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship.

According to DSI’s deputy chief, Police Colonel Yannapol Yungyuen, the department is, on a 24-hour basis, monitoring movements of outlets offering online betting. Any unusual or suspicious activities will be reported to the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) for further investigation.

He elaborated that an unusually high number of bettors log onto sports-betting sites during the football tournament. The DSI is cooperating with the TCSD in dispatching undercover agents to infiltrate local gambling dens.

Police Colonel Yannapol noted that underground rings in the capital continue to thrive, with illicit bookies nowadays offering odds and spreads online.

Match from second stage in Group B of the tournament. Portugal vs Denmark may decide first team qualified from the group and / or the first team who go home. Netherlands lost surprising to Denmark 1-0 while Portugal lost to Germany 1-0. The two teams met in groups of qualifying tournament, each team winning at home: 3-1 for Portugal and that the second leg 2-1 to Denmark. For Portuguese is no alternative but victory if they want to stay in the race for the European title. Today I think we get a game where I expect Portuguese to be in charge, to score in the first half after the break and wait to make a hit on the counterattack. On the other Danes will try to keep the sheet clean and will defend playing at a draw. But I believe The Portuguese will be angry and I rate them to be able to win at 2 goals difference.

Phil Mickelson has never been able to get over the hump at the U.S. Open, finishing in second place at the event five times in his PGA Tour career. That makes Lefty a sentimental choice on the golf odds and props menu as the major tournament gets going this week.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Mickelson finished second at the U.S. Open in each of 1999, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2009, and he has four other Top-10 results at the event – most recently in 2010, when he ended up in a tie for fourth place. He tied for 54th place at the tournament in 2011.

Golf bettors who want to throw their support behind Mickelson to win this week could find him at 20/1 odds at last update to claim the trophy on the weekend, which put him behind the favorites Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Luke Donald, and Rory McIlroy. Mickelson also sits at 22/1 odds to hold the lead in the tournament after the first round.

However, since wagering on Mickelson to win the U.S. Open in the past has never actually paid off for golf bettors, you can also get 7/2 odds that he'll simply end up in the Top 5 at the event this week. If you want to hedge your bets on Lefty even more you can get a line of +135 that he'll end up in the Top 10; he sits at -175 to end up outside the Top 10.

Mickelson is also at lucrative +8000 odds to make a hole-in-one at the Olympic Club this week, and he sits at 8/1 odds to be the top American player at the tournament – he'd have to post a better score than the likes of Woods and Dustin Johnson to win that wager.

Looking ahead, Mickelson sits at 4/1 on the golf odds at Bovada to win at least one major tournament in 2012 – he was third at the Masters, and still has the British Open and PGA Championship to go after the U.S. Open.

Will Power won three of the first four races of the 2012 IndyCar Series season, but he's finished off the top of the podium in each of the circuit's last three events. Power will try to cross the finish line in first place once again when he competes on Saturday afternoon in the Milwaukee IndyFest at the Milwaukee Mile. Bet on Indy today.

Despite not winning in the past three races, however, Power still holds the top spot in the IndyCar Series standings – as the other four victories so far this season have been spread out amongst four other drivers. That has Power holding a 256-220 lead on Scott Dixon in the points race heading into Milwaukee, with James Hinchcliffe third with 208 points.

Dixon is one of the other four drivers with an IndyCar Series win this season, as he finished first in Detroit. Justin Wilson, who is 10th in the current standings with 156 points, won last time out at Texas, while Dario Franchitti, who is sixth in the current standings with 192 points, won the Indianapolis 500.

Helio Castroneves is fourth in the current standings with 203 points, and he won the series' season-opening event at St. Petersburg back in March.

Franchitti paid off on the IndyCar Series odds at Bovada at Milwaukee last season, finishing ahead of Graham Rahal and Oriol Servia at the event to earn 53 points for the driver standings. Power was fourth that day, while Dixon had to settle for a seventh-place result.

Dixon, though, won at Milwaukee in 2009, while Ryan Briscoe was the champion at the race in 2008, and Tony Kanaan crossed the finish line in first place at the event in both 2006 and 2007. Franchitti also won at the track back in 2004.

When Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (45-0-1, 31 KOs) steps into the ring this Saturday night to defend his WBC Middleweight title for the third time he will be facing one of the toughest challenges of his career. Mexico’s favorite boxing son will need to be in top form against Ireland’s Andy Lee (28-1, 20 KOs) who, like the champion, is a young hungry fighter in the prime of his career. Bet on boxing at Bovada.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Oddsmakers at Bovada seem to think the champ holds a significant edge over Lee and currently have him handicapped as the -400 favorite. Besides an undefeated record, Chavez will be fighting in front of a fan-friendly crowd in El Paso, Texas and is reported to have had a great camp that has him peaking just at the right time.

In order for Lee to pay out on the Bovada +300 underdog option he will need to keep up with Chavez’s torrid pace and heavy hands. The Irishman should be up for the challenge, at least for the early rounds of the fight, and could always land a big shot at any point that turns the fight in his favor. Lee gets his title shot following 13 straight wins including a second-round KO victory over Saul Duran his last time out.

Bovada is also offering OVER/UNDER action on the fight with the line set at 9.5 rounds. The OVER option is handicapped as the -260 favorite, while the UNDER bet pays +180. One would have to give value to the UNDER option based on the KO percentages of both fighters, but the OVER bet is favored - likely due to the toughness of both combatants.

Heading into Saturday night’s fight in Newark for the vacant IBF North American heavyweight title, Tomasz Adamek and Eddie Chambers have one thing in common: both were recently pummeled by a Klitschko brother. Adamek is a -225 favorite on Bovada’s boxing odds with Chambers at +175. It’s scheduled for 10 rounds, with the over/under at 9.5 at the book. It will be shown on NBC Sports Network’s “Fight Night.”

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Adamek, 35, is from Poland but lives in Jersey City, N.J., and is very popular in that Polish-heavy area and thus should have all the crowd support at the Prudential Center, where he has fought seven times. Adamek (45-2, 28 KOs), a former cruiserweight and light heavyweight champion, fought Vitali Klitschko for Klitschko’s WBC heavyweight title in September in Poland and was dominated before the fight was stopped in the 10th round.

Adamek bounced back with a unanimous 10-round decision win over journeyman Nagy Aguilera on March 24. Adamek’s other career loss came back in 2007 to Chad Dawson, currently the WBC light-heavyweight champ. Adamek is ranked by the IBO as the No. 3 heavyweight contender.

The 30-year-old Chambers (36-2, 18 KOs) had a title shot against Wladimir Klitschko back in March 2010 but was totally outclassed and finally knocked out cold with only five seconds left in the fight. Chambers returned to the ring last February and won a unanimous decision vs. Derric Rossy; it was Chambers’ second career win vs. Rossy.

Chambers, whose other career loss came to Alexander Povetkin in 2008, was then scheduled to fight Tony Thompson last October but pulled out with a back injury. Then in January he was slated to face Sergei Liakhovich but was forced to pull out with a rib injury. So it will have been 16 months since he was last in the ring. “Fast Eddie” is dedicating this bout to his advisor, mentor and co-trainer Rob Murray Sr., who passed away earlier this month.

Neither fighter has big knockout power, but both are active punchers. It’s likely the loser of this fight never sees a title shot again, while the winner could get another shot at a Klitschko and earn the title of best heavyweight living in the U.S.

The Euro 2012 football championship is getting huge coverage all over the world as media companies and bookies cash in on the tournament. This is a naturally exciting championship pitting all the great European teams against one another in match after gripping match.

Now the online gambling operators and the television broadcasters are being accused of taking advantage of a loophole in the U.K. laws regarding advertizing for gambling on television. Gambling companies used a loophole to advertise before the 9pm watershed during Euro 2012 football matches recently. People are being deluged with aggressive ads for the Euro 2012 championship. The last Labour government made changes to the rules to allow advertising on TV before the 9pm provided it was related to a sports event. ITV has shown many spots for bookmakers such as Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Bet365, William Hill and other online gambling sites during Euro 2012, 50% or which are aired at the 5pm slot creating a fear that youngsters are being exposed to sports gambling.

The critical opposition is saying the advertizing of gambling at the in appropriate hour translates into an easy fun approach instead of respect for the serious side of gambling. The commercials combine celebrity, humour and attractive deals for wagering a little money for big rewards. The channel is charging up to £200,000 for a 30-second slot. The Prime Minister David Cameron has been called upon to demand the TV regulator Ofcom and the Advertising Standards Authority, to keep the gambling operators actions in check. Cameron speaking to other members of parliament said, ‘Anyone who enjoys watching a football match will see quite aggressive advertisements on the television, and I think companies have to ask themselves whether they are behaving responsibly.’

Responsible indeed PM Cameron reported forgot his daughter in a pub recently, very responsibly he returned to take her home.

Denny Hamlin is easily the one to beat this week when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes its first visit of the season to Michigan International Speedway for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400. Hamlin is the 17/2 second-favorite on Bovada’s motor sports odds.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Hamlin, a winner at Phoenix and Kansas earlier this year, is looking to join Bill Elliott as the only drivers to win the Quicken Loans 400 three years in a row. Hamlin started 10th last year but edged Matt Kenseth for his fifth Top-5 finish overall in 12 races at Michigan. His average finish of 12.1 at the track is only fifth-best, however.

The best average finish at Michigan belongs to Carl Edwards (10/1) at 8.2. He has two wins at the track, including this race in 2007, and nine top-five results overall. Edwards, who finished fifth in this race a year ago, is still looking for his first victory of 2012.

Kenseth (17/2) is the new points leader and has a good track record at Michigan with two wins and 11 top-five finishes in 25 races. His average finish of 9.5 is second only to Edwards. Perhaps this is the week Jeff Gordon (11/1) returns to Victory Lane. He has two wins at Michigan and leads all active drivers with 18 top-five finishes.

And this could be the week for Dale Earnhardt Jr. (19/2) to finally win again. Junior, who is on a 143-race winless streak, won here on Father’s Day in 2008 to end a 76-race winless skid. That was his last victory and only one with Hendrick Motorsports. Earnhardt’s eighth-place finish last week vaulted him team back into second place in the standings. He trails Kenseth by 10 points but leads the Sprint Cup series with 11 Top-10 finishes in 14 starts.

Jimmie Johnson (6/1) is a favorite pretty much every week but he remains winless at Michigan in 20 starts. He does have three top-five finishes. Greg Biffle has two wins in his career at Michigan and a series-best driver rating of 106.5. And Kurt Busch (60/1) returns from a one-week suspension for the Quicken Loans 400. Busch has two wins at Michigan and won the pole for last year’s race (and the year before) but finished 11th. Last week at Pocono, Joey Logano became the first driver to win a Sprint Cup race in 31 events.

After an epic weekend of golf at the U.S. Open, the PGA Tour shifts back across the country for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. As usual the week after a major, most of the big names in golf are taking the week off, but there’s still a solid field for this event. Here is a look at the head-to-head props offered on Bovada’s golf props for this week:

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Webb Simpson (-115) vs. Zach Johnson (-115): Simpson of course won his first major title on Sunday at Olympic in San Francisco, beating Michael Thompson and Graeme McDowell by a shot thanks to a final-round 68. Johnson has had a terrific year, including a win at Colonial. In four previous visits to this tournament, Simpson has yet to have a Top-10 finish but was a career-best T13 a year ago. Johnson has one Top-10 finish in six stops here. He was T24 a year ago.

Johnson (-130) vs. Padraig Harrington (EVEN): Johnson was noted above, while Harrington enters off a strong T4 finish last week at the Open. Harrington has finished in the Top-10 once in three visits to Cromwell and was T63 a year ago.

Matt Kuchar (-120) vs. Hunter Mahan (-110): Mahan is the only multiple winner on Tour entered in this tournament, having won the WGC-Match Play and the Shell Houston Open. Kuchar, meanwhile, got the biggest win of his career at the Players Championship and has made a PGA Tour-high 20 consecutive cuts. Mahan has four Top-10 finishes in this tournament, including a win in 2007. Kuchar is playing here for the first time in four years and has never had a Top-10 finish in six previous tournaments.

Ian Poulter (-120) vs. Louis Oosthuizen (-110): Oosthuizen, last year’s British Open champion, missed the cut last week at Olympic. Poulter finished T41 at 11 over. It’s Oosthuizen’s first time playing this tournament, while Poulter was T24 last year in his first visit.

William Hill, Britain's largest bookmaker, said on Thursday it has won approval from Nevada regulators to become the first British betting service to run a sports book in the state.

The green light from the Nevada Gaming Commission allows the British firm to begin offering sports betting on mobile devices to bettors in Nevada, and positions the company to be among the first out the gate should legal restrictions on U.S. online gaming be lifted.

Novak Djokovic couldn’t become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win four consecutive Grand Slam tournaments after falling in the French Open final. But Djokovic, still the world’s top-ranked player, is the 7/4 favorite on Bovada’s tennis futures odds to win Wimbledon for the second year in a row.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

In 2011, Djokovic began his run of three straight Slams by beating then-No. 1 Rafael Nadal 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 for his first title at the All England Club and first win over Nadal in a major championship. It was also Djokovic’s first grass-court title of any kind and made him the new No. 1 in the world, which he hasn’t relinquished. He went on to beat Nadal at the 2011 U.S. Open and then in the Australian Open to start this year.

But Nadal beat Djokovic in two clay-court warm-up events for the French Open (Nadal had lost the past seven matches between the two) and then beat Djokovic in four sets for his record seventh French title last month. That ended Djokovic’s 27-match winning streak in Slams. Nadal is the 2/1 second-favorite at Bovada to win his third Wimbledon title. He has reached the final in five of the past six years.

Roger Federer (7/2) can tie Pete Sampras’ record with a seventh Wimbledon title, but he hasn’t been in the final since winning No. 6 in an epic match with Andy Roddick in 2009. In fact, Federer has reached just one final, the 2011 French Open, since winning his last Slam title at the 2010 Australian Open. Djokovic handled him easily in this year’s French semifinals.

Scotland’s Andy Murray (13/2) would become probably the most popular athlete in all of Great Britain if he can bring home the first Slam of any British male since Fred Perry in 1936, the year of Perry’s last of three Wimbledon titles. Murray has yet to reach a Wimbledon final, falling in the semifinals each of the past three years.

The American with the shortest odds is John Isner at 33/1. But he has never advanced past the second round at Wimbledon and is best known for his first-round match two years ago that took more than 11 hours vs. Nicolas Mahut and ended 70-68 in the fifth set.

You can throw just about everything you think you know about the NASCAR Sprint Cup series this week because it visits one of just two road courses on the schedule, Sonoma, for Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350. Road-course specialist Marcos Ambrose is the 21/10 favorite on Bovada’s NASCAR odds.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Drivers will be turning right instead of left on Sunday and few do that better than Ambrose, who will start on the pole. He hasn’t yet won this race but has a series-best driver rating of 108.8 at Infineon Raceway and has finished sixth or better in the past three years there. He also won the most recent road-course race last August at Watkins Glen for his first Sprint Cup win.

The active driver who has dominated at this track is Jeff Gordon (7/2), who qualified second Friday behind Ambrose. He leads all current drivers at Sonoma with five wins, 12, Top-5 finishes, 15 Top 10s, 437 laps led and an average finish of 8.7. Gordon has finished ninth or better in the last six races at Sonoma, including second last year. But he hasn’t won there since 2006.

Tony Stewart (12/1) also likes this track with a driver’s rating of 107.9 that is second-best. Stewart has won this race twice, although not since 2005. His average running position of 10.1 at the track is also the second-best among active drivers.

Jimmie Johnson (15/2) won this race two years ago for his lone victory at Sonoma, one of his three career Top-5 finishes there. The Busch brothers each have a victory here, with Kurt (12/1) as the defending champion and Kyle (12/1) the 2008 winner. Juan Pablo Montoya (12/1) is another road-course specialist and won here in 2007. That year he started 32, which remains the worst starting spot for a winner of this race.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. (50/1) was the story of NASCAR last week in winning at Michigan to end his 143-race winless streak. But he is not a strong road-course driver and doesn’t have a single Top-10 finishes in 12 previous visits to Sonoma.

Six of the ATP’s top 10 players, including Rafael Nadal, kick off their 2012 Wimbledon campaigns this Tuesday in the second and final day of action in the tournament’s first round. Bet on ATP tennis at Bovada.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Currently going off at 21/10 odds to win Wimbledon and a heavy favorite to meet Novak Djokovic in the final, No. 2 ranked Nadal draws Brazilian pro Thomaz Bellucci who is currently ranked 80th in the world. Bellucci is listed at +1600 to pull off the miracle upset with Nadal available at -10000.

No. 6 Jo-Wilfred Tsonga is a -900 favorite Tuesday over veteran pro Lleyton Hewitt (+500). While Hewitt has dropped to No. 202 in the ATP rankings due to inactivity, the 31-year-old does have 28 singles titles to his name over a 14-year career.

Fresh off of his fourth singles title of the year in winning last week’s UNICEF Open, No. 5 David Ferrer looks to get his tournament off on the right foot against German pro Dustin Brown, who currently ranks 164th in the ATP. Ferrer is a -5000 favorite and Brown is a +1100 underdog.

Going off at -3300 is No. 4 Andy Murray, who will be looking for a big showing in this tournament in his home town of London. He’ll face No. 47 ranked Nikolay Davydenko (+1000), who like Hewitt is a seasoned 31-year-old veteran with 21 career singles titles under his belt over the last 13 years.

Rounding out the ATP Top 10’s action this Tuesday, No. 9 Juan Martin Del Potro (-2000) faces No. 49 Robin Haase (+800) and No. 10 John Isner (-750) takes on No. 73 Alejandro Falla (+450).

There were a few big upsets on Day 1 at Wimbledon, with Ernests Gulbis knocking off No. 6 seed Tomas Berdych and Alejandro Fallas defeating No. 11 seed John Isner. Favorites will surely take note and re-focus heading into Wednesday’s action. Bet on Wimbledon at Bovada.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Entering the tournament as the favorite to win the tournament at 7/4, Novak Djokovic made it through the first round in straight sets (6-3, 6-3, 6-1) in defeating Juan Carlos Ferrero. He’ll be a heavy favorite Wednesday against Ryan Harrison, a 20-year-old American pro currently ranked 48th in the ATP rankings. Harrison defeated Yen-Hsun Lu in four sets Monday.

Right behind Djokovic and Rafael Nadal on the betting board at 7/2 to win Wimbledon, Roger Federer kicked off his tournament with a strong win in straight sets (6-1, 6-1, 6-1) over Albert Ramos. His opponent Wednesday will be Fabio Fognini; Fognini ranks 68th in the ATP rankings and defeated Michael Llodra in four sets on Monday.

No. 8 ranked Janko Tipsarevic also took care of business in straight sets on Monday defeating David Nalbandian. Tipsarevic will look to continue his progress Wednesday at Wimbledon going up against American pro Ryan Sweeting, who should be well-rested as his opponent Potito Starace retired Wednesday in the second set of their match.

No. 34 ranked Viktor Troicki’s played a great match against No. 24 Marcel Granollers on Monday. Troiki upset the Top 25 pro in five sets on Monday (7-5, 7-6, 3-6, 2-6, 8-6), and will look to make more noise in what should be another good match on Wednesday against No. 62 ranked Martin Klizan. Klizan topped Juan Ignacio Chela in a five-set battle of his own on Monday (7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 1-6, 11-9).

Other interesting matchups to look out for Wednesday include Mikhail Youzhny vs. Inigo Cervantes-Huegun and Florian Mayer vs. Philipp Petzschner.

Roger Federer hasn't exactly breezed through his last two opponents at Wimbledon, but the No. 3 seed at the event will still be the favorite on the tennis odds at Bovada for his quarterfinal matchup at the major tournament on Wednesday.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Federer survived a marathon match against No. 29 Julien Benneteau of France in the third round of the tournament, winning 4-6, 6-7, 6-2, 7-6, 6-1, and in the fourth round of the event on Monday he beat Xavier Malisse of Belgium 7-6, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

And on Wednesday Federer will be up against Mikhail Youzhny of Russia, the No. 26 seed at the tournament who is coming off a hard-fought 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, 6-7, 7-5 win over Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan in the fourth round on Monday. Bet on the Wimbledon matchup today. Youzhny needed four sets to upset No. 8 seed Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia in the third round by scores of 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

The Federer/Youzhny quarterfinal match for Wednesday was the only one set at the end of play for the men's draw on Monday, as weather wrecked havoc on the tournament's schedule. The only other player to advance was top-seeded Novak Djokovic, who breezed past Viktor Troicki of Serbia by scores of 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals.

Djokovic will face the winner of the match between No. 18 Richard Gasquet of France and No. 31 Florian Mayer of Germany in the quarterfinals, with Mayer up 6-3, 2-1 when play was suspended on Monday; regardless of that winner they will be big underdogs on the tennis odds at Bovada against Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The rest of the suspended fourth-round matches in the men's draw set for completion on Tuesday are Brian Baker vs. No. 27 Philipp Kohlschreiber, No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. No. 10 Mardy Fish, No. 7 David Ferrer vs. No. 9 Juan Martin del Potro, and No. 16 Marin Cilic vs. No. 4 Andy Murray.

Tuesday's quarterfinals in the women's draw are No. 6 Serena Williams vs. No. 4 Petra Kvitova, No. 15 Sabine Lisicki vs. No. 8 Angelique Kerber, No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska vs. No. 17 Maria Kirilenko, and Tamira Paszek vs. No. 2 Victoria Azarenka.

The world of sports has been associated with gambling since the competitions began centuries ago. Now much to the delight of gamblers everywhere there is online sports betting which has made the process of punting much more instant and satisfying. In the old days punters would gather around a radio or tv to listen or watch the games and cheer on their favourites. Bets were usually placed well in advance at a local bookie and everything was posted on a chalk board. How far we have come, when you look at mobile smart phones and the in-play options available to the average punter.

Online sports books are constantly looking for ways to get their messages out to the general population and advertize their products. To do so they sponsor various teams and events with their logos and slogans.
