The announcement was made Monday and I somehow missed it? Darn. If you are going to be in Las Vegas on Nov. 21 then plan to get a ticket to UFC 106 being held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is defending his title against an undefeated Shane Carwin and by all accounts it's going to be awesome.

"Brock Lesnar has been tearing through everyone over the last year," UFC President Dana White told the Las Vegas Sun. "But in Shane Carwin, he's not only fighting someone as big as he is, he's fighting someone who has ended all of his fights in less than three minutes. This is literally the biggest heavyweight title fight ever and may also be the most explosive."

Carwin is 6-foot-3 and weighs 262 pounds. Lesnar is also 6-foot-3 and weighs 265 pounds.

"I was extremely excited when I got the news that I was fighting Brock," said Carwin. "I couldn't even sleep that night."

And what does Lesnar think of Carwin?

"I'm looking forward to fighting Shane Carwin. He's undefeated and I’m the man who is going to put an end to that," Lesnar said.

Tito Ortiz is also making his return to the UFC that same night in a fight with UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman.

Tickets for UFC 106 go on sale Saturday, Sept. 19 at noon MDT and it will also be available live on pay-per-view on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, BellTV, Shaw Communications and Viewer's Choice Canada.

Well i wanted Kimbo to fight him. But after watching the ultimate fighter I think he'll need alot of time to get better. His ground game was shitty.

Kimbo would be the worst possible match up with Lesnar possible. I don't think Shane Carwin is all that great either. Maybe Tim Sylvia would do okay vs. Lesnar?
I hated watching Randy lose to Brock... .sigh...

Pretty sure my money will be on Lesnar (even though I'd love to see him lose).
I'm pretty sure that Coleman won't be fighting as he's out with a shoulder injury and I do believe that they've brought Forrest in to fight Tito in his place (too bad for Tito... I think he'd beat Coleman but might have a tough go with Forrest who will be wanting to redeem himself after the loss to Rashad).
Does anyone on here use the Bodog site for Sportsbetting? I'm considering throwing down some money on that site and am interested to hear anyone else's experience with that site for Sportsbetting.
tks in advance

Brock Lesner is a brickhouse that has mini vans for fists. I am a huge Brock Lesner fan even when he was acting on WWE. You have to admit, if you get within arms length of him you are finished. A lucky ankle lock by a mediocre fighter brought him to shamelessly tap, but his fist were raining fury upon Mirs' head until that point. Mir knew the second the bell rang he was in trouble. Rematch was a continuation of the hurricane to Mir's face, but the the second time there was no miracle ankle lock. The rematch showed that Brock had been working on his ground game and is ready to invite all dreamers into the ring.
One of those dreamers is Carwin...a fighter who has not fought anyone in his last 4 fights. He may be undefeated, but I can be undeafeted also if I fought a bunch of elementry kids. I believe before you place him in the ring with a beast like Brock, he should fight someone with alittle bit of experience in the MMA.
Even with H1N1, I would put my money on Brock to KO this clown in the 1st round with a lesson in ground-and-pound.
I do like the match-up they put in place for the main event of UFC 106.
Ortiz vs. Griffin should be a great fight against two fighters who do not quit for nothing. I guess Ortiz is never going to quit the UFC. He probaly shined Dana Whites' shoes to get this fight. Embarrassing...Go Griffin

Whats the story? Just watched an add for pay per view on TV advertising UFC 106 Lesnar vs Carwin Nov 21st, thought it was scratched? Black eye on UFC by still publisizing a fight that has been scratched for a few weeks? I think so, any other thoughts?

I don't know, but either way I will still order 106.
