Houston clay tournament one of the first clay tournaments in clay season. - Many good players came here from all top100. In first round we have German Dustin Brown who is recovering from injury and Swiss Henri Laaksonen who is having worst start of the season.
Dustin Brown (ATP 152) - After hard injury in France, where Dustin almost won match against Nicolas Mahut he missed many tournaments and only trained in private courts. Yet he played on challenger on clay and made some moves here, sadly he lost in first rounds at singles and doubles match. Talking about playing on clay Brown have strong serve that helps, strong shots and nice slice shots that helps a lot on clay, but he is very slow and moves bad.
Henri Laaksonen (ATP 143) - Swiss have very harsh start of the season, he can't find good tennis from last year, recently he droped out of top 100. I think player have to many injuries from last season and preparing for new season was not good enough. Henri have normal decent serve, he is quite fast, but his tehnique is at low level this time.
In the end - I guess Brown with injuries will take this win, he needs to win at least one match here.
