Bundesliga: Bayern Munich vs Frankfurt Betting Preview

Bayern Munich look to secure their 7th straight Bundesliga title as they host Top 4 chasing Frankfurt in what looks to be a crazy final day of the season!

After failing to secure the title against RB Leipzig, Bayern have a 2nd chance to do so and anything other than a defeat would secure them the title as they lead Dortmund by 2 points and have a far superior goal difference.

Meanwhile Frankfurt are 1 point behind 4th placed Gladbach after failing to win their game last week against Mainz they put themselves in a very tough situation in terms of achieving top 4 as they pretty much HAVE to win this game and must get favours from other teams.

Bayern are currently riding a solid run of form despite a few draws in recent weeks they are on the 2nd longest current unbeaten streak in the league having not lost 13 straight in Bundesliga (only Leipzig have gone unbeaten more with 15 games). Bayern have won 10 of those 13 games and drew 3.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt have completely have fallen apart in the past month only managing 1 win from last 9 games drawing 4 and losing 4 not only getting themselves knocked out of Europa League but also falling out of top 4 in the league after the disastrous defeat to Mainz last week 0-2 which has put them from a great position of qualifying for the Champions League to a near impossible task of that happening now. Frankfurt have been very poor defensively conceding 18 goals in their last 9 games and their attack haven’t been quite as lethal as it’s been for the most of the season only scoring 7 in these 9 games. Just overall, this team is playing awful right now.

Bayern have yet again been great at Allianz Arena this season with a 12W 3D 1L with all of their dropped points coming in the 1st half of the season here when they struggled. Bayern have yet again been scoring lots of goals with 44 and been solid defensively conceding 13 at the Allianz Arena this season. Bayern have won 10 consecutive games at home in the league and have scored 33 goals (3.3 per game) while conceding just 3 (0.3 per game) keeping 7 clean sheets and beating teams on average by 3 goals during this winning run at home in Bundesliga. Clearly a place that’s been a nightmare for opponents to come and win at since that slow start to the season for Bayern.

Bayern have done well at home against the top 6 in the league despite the 0-3 loss to Gladbach, they did batter Dortmund 6-0, beat Leipzig 1-0 and Leverkusen 3-1.

Frankfurt have actually been nearly as good away as they have been at home picking up 26 pts away to 28 they picked up at home and with a win could end up with a better away record for the season. Frankfurt have only lost 1 away game in the league since 2019 started while winning 3 and drawing 3, however that lone loss during this calendar year did come in their most recent away game against Leverkusen when they got absolutely battered 6-1 conceding all 6 goals in the 1st half.

Frankfurt have struggled against the top 6 on their travels losing to Dortmund 3-1, Gladbach 3-1, Leverkusen 6-1 and drawing 0-0 with Leipzig.

Robert Lewandowski, of course again is the man to watch for Bayern. 4th straight season with 20+ league goals, he’s been in great form scoring 8 goals in last 9 apps and has bagged a hattrick against Frankfurt at the start of the season when they met in the Super Cup.

Frankfurt’s man to watch is also their striker, young star Luka Jovic. 17 goals in the league which is 3rd most in Bundesliga and 27 in total if you include European games too. Jovic has been a good big game player scoring against the likes of Dortmund, Inter, Chelsea, Benfica, Schalke, Lazio this season and if anyone that Bayern should be concerned about it’s him for sure in this game. If a chance falls to him expect him to score.

Bayern have owned the H2H this season against Frankfurt smashing them both times with a 0-5 win in the German Super Cup and a 0-3 win in the reverse Bundesliga fixture.

Bayern have won 9 consecutive matches against Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena thoroughly dominating them here beating them by 2+ goals 8 times, scoring 28 goals and conceding just 2 (7 clean sheets) in this 9 game home win streak against Frankfurt. The last meeting at the Allianz was won 4-1 by Bayern last season.

Bayern are massive favourites to win this game offered at 1.25 whereas Frankfurt are a long shot at 11.50 to win while Draw is offered at 6.00. Considering how badly Bayern have been outplaying Frankfurt in H2H this season and looking at how dominant Bayern have been at home during the past few months in the league and given the fact that Frankfurt are playing some awful football right now, it definitely does look like it can only go one way and that’s Bayern winning. Anything else would be a huge surprise to all of us for sure. The odds are based on Unibet.

Team News

Bayern Munich: Manuel Neuer is out with an injury while Javi Martinez, Thiago and James Rodriguez are all nursing injuries too and could all miss out this final clash of the season.
