After having 7 consecutive wins at Anfield Road, Liverpool hosted Aston Villa tonight. The game started like a nightmare for the Reds.
After the 36th minute of the game, Aston Villa was 2-0 ahead with the goals of Weimann and Benteke. Just before going to the locker rooms for the half time break Sturridge found the net with the brilliant assist of Hernandes.
At the 53rd minute the referee has given penalty for Liverpool after the foul of Goalkeeper Guzan on Luis Suarez. Steven Gerard scored the penalty and brought the game to 2-2 draw.
The game ended 2-2 as none of the teams were able to change the scoreboard later on. Liverpool supporters were sad and disappointed after the game.
