That was the last chance for Zalgiris to fight for TOP 8. Now even miracle will not help them. Seems that some players doesn't fit to this team system.
Yeah Zalgiris definitely don't look the same this year, will be interesting to see how they bounce back next season
Olympiakos now 12-12, tied with Bayern for 8/9 seeds 😲 , Olympiakos in danger to miss the playoffs? Very interesting how their last 6 games unfold, that'd be a shocker if they miss it

After this Euroleague round basically just 11 teams left open for the playoffs spot. Khimki and Zalgiris were the latest teams who eliminated themselves from the battle. Now knowing the problems in Olympiakos and taking eyes in to the recent forms I think that Maccabi have the best chance to take the last spot from Olympiakos. Although Bayern was playing good basketball and the first season part lately their form are not that promising anymore. Panathinaikos could had the chance but their fixtures before the end of regular season seems very difficult.
Pedro Martinez confirms his return to Gran Canaria
Pedro Martinez will take over Gran Canaria for the third time.
Coach Pedro Martinez made a short tweet confirming prior reports about him replacing Victor Garcia as the head coach of Herbalife Gran Canaria.
Martinez will be taking over Gran Canaria for the third time following his 2002-05 and 2009-14 tenures. His main goal short-term would be avoiding the Spanish League relegation zone as the team currently stands at the 14th spot with a 7-15 record.
Janis Timma on loan to Khimki until the end of the season
The Latvian forward is ready to move to Khimki until the end of the season.
Olympiacos small forward Janis Timma will be moving to Khimki on loan until the end of the current season according to Eurohoops sources.
Timma signed a two-year contract with the Greek team last summer and will return in Piraeus after the end of the season. Until then, coach David Blatt wants to free the player since he doesn’t have a spot in Olympiacos‘ rotation for him.
The Latvian player so far averages 3.4 points and 0.9 rebounds over 11 minutes in 23 EuroLeague games with Olympiacos, however, he will not be eligible to play in the competition with Khimki, just in the VTB League.

Great win for Zalgiris in Tel Aviv against Maccabi. A little too late maybe but you never know still, the Playoff hopes aren't quite dead yet
The dream is still alive but there is a chance that Zalgiris could win all the rest games and still not qualify for top 8. At least they giving all they got and never backing down. That's a great team spirit and also don't forget to mention that all wins gives them 40k in the pocket.
